Leading Singaporean healthcare provider brings international standards to Abu Dhabi
United Eastern Medical Services LLC (UEM), Abu Dhabi’s leading healthcare investment and development company, has officially signed a pioneering agreement with renowned Singaporean medical operators ParkwayHealth to manage their innovative Danat Al Emarat Women and Children’s Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Under the agreement, ParkwayHealth will provide clinical development services for Danat Al Emarat and will manage the hospital in accordance with the highest international standards for patient care and safety. This ground-breaking agreement is unprecedented as Danat Al Emarat will become the first private hospital in the UAE to be managed by an international operator.
ParkwayHealth, a subsidiary of Parkway Holdings Ltd, is well-poised to add the extraordinary Danat Al Emarat project to its international operations. With 30 years of experience in healthcare operations, ParkwayHealth has a solid and reputable portfolio of clinical management, operating 15 hospitals with over 3,600 beds across Asia. As one of Asia’s leading healthcare providers, ParkwayHealth also has established a comprehensive range of clinical programmes, including Women & Children, which form the pillars of the wide spectrum of medical services offered by the organisation. ParkwayHealth will provide the perfect platform for Danat Al Emarat to achieve its mission of becoming a regional Centre of Excellence for Women’s and Children’s Health.
The partnership will result in continuous development of clinical programmes and quality improvement initiatives to ensure international standards and best practices are properly implemented. Collaboration between the two entities will be in the form of regular expert visits in order to asses and recommend plans to improve clinical services, mentor staff and consult on complex cases. In addition, ParkwayHealth will arrange for Danat Al Emarat clinicians to participate in video-conferencing and ‘observership programmes’ that will help develop close and supportive professional relationships between the teams.
“For many years now, masses of patients have traveled to Singapore from the UAE seeking the most advanced medical technologies and expertise. We have selected ParkwayHealth to manage Danat Al Emarat for their international prominence in delivering quality clinical outcomes, especially within the Women & Children’s healthcare sector.
